Aside from betting, you might want to try watching the events. This will help you understand the sport, and you can catch the action live.

In that case, you should learn more about the various races coming in the remaining part of the year. To help you get started, here are five epic horse racing events still to come this year.

York Ebor Festival

The UK has some of the best races left in the year, and one of them is the York Ebor Festival set to hold from the seventeenth of August to the 20th. The event will be epic, with plenty of different races available. The event will take place at the York Racecourse, and the races you’ll get to enjoy include the following.

  • Juddmonte International Stakes
  • Darley Yorkshire Oaks
  • Nunthorpe Stakes
  • York Ebor Handicap

The most valuable race in this festival would be the Juddmonte International Stakes, which is run at the start of the festival. Therefore, you do not want to miss out on this one. Once you’re there, you can stay for the rest to witness the York Ebor Handicap, currently the most valuable flat handicap in European horse racing.

Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe

Another event you can add to your list is the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. The event would be happening on the Hipódromo de Longchamp, one of the most prestigious racecourses in horse racing with some of the best turf. It is located in Bois de Boulogne in Paris and has been around since the 1850s.

The event is a flat race that is open to every age group and would span a distance of around one mile and four furlongs. As it stands, this is one of Europe’s most prestigious races, and it is the second richest turf race in the world today, giving the racers something to fight for, and as a result, we will get a solid competition.

Melbourne Cup

On the first of November, we would get the chance to visit the Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne, Victoria. The racecourse is located along the low alluvial flats close to the Maribyrnong River in Australia. The most notable event that happens at this racecourse is the Melbourne Cup.

This event is the world’s richest handicap racing event. In addition to that, it is the richest two-mile handicap race worldwide.

Therefore, it is an epic one if you want to give a prestigious race a try. However, you should prepare yourself for a massive turnout as there have been records of more than 100,000 people attending Melbourne Cup day.

Breeders Cup

Another name on our list is the Breeders Cup, which will be held between November 4 and 5th at the Keeneland Racecourse. This racecourse is one of the best in Europe and has an incredible landscape for sightseeing. At the event, we would have three different races, and you can always give each one a try.

There is the Breeders Cup Classic, Turf, and Mile races available. These three make up the biggest and best meet in the world. The best horses from different corners of the world come together to compete for the two days, and as it stands, it is the most valuable horse racing tournament globally.

Christmas Festival

After Christmas, you can take a trip to Kempton Park for another epic horse racing event to round up an incredible year. From the 26th to the 27th of December, the Kempton Park Racecourse will be hosting three incredible horse racing events, highlighting the national hunt fixture list.
